Who Am I?
I’m Cat, a Senior Product Designer with a thing for messy problems, clean UX and organised chaos.
With 11 years in design and 6 in product, I craft intuitive, scalable experiences across web and mobile. Always strategic. Always zoomed out before zooming in.
From internal tools to consumer apps, I bring structure to complexity, shape UX strategy and build systems that grow with the product, not fight it.
🎨 Where I Come From
Before product design, I worked in broadcast doing graphics and motion design for BT Sport, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 & Channel 5. That high-pressure environment, designing live during show breaks, taught me to move fast, think faster and always design with intention.
Inventiveness runs in the blood. My grandfather was an engineer and inventor. I took a different path, but the instinct to build, rethink and push boundaries stuck. These days, I don’t design engines. I design experiences that move people forward.
🧠 How I Work
Big picture thinker. System builder. People first collaborator. I love spotting patterns, simplifying complexity and creating products that just make sense. Whether working solo or in a team, I bring energy, clarity and a strong focus on how things work, not just how they look.
I design with developers in mind, always aiming for solutions that are usable and buildable. I believe the best products happen when design and development work together, not in silos. If something can’t be built, I’ll adapt, explore alternatives and collaborate, because progress always beats perfection.
🏁 Outside of Work
I’m a car obsessed, chaos wrangling adventure lover. I’ve trained with a pro disabled racing team and earned the nickname E-Kart Stig at my old kart track job. (Still one of my proudest flexes). I also love mountain biking, longboarding, skiing and detailing my car.
I live with my partner, who works in the automotive world and only fuels the obsession further, along with my two Cavalier furbabies who supervise all my design sprints from their beds next to my desk. My weird talent? I can often ID a car just from its headlights.
🚀 What’s Next
I’m looking for my next big challenge. Somewhere I can lead, collaborate and create beautifully usable products that actually matter. Bonus points if it’s fast paced and open to bold ideas.
